FACULTY

The Law School is staffed by more than 70 part-time and full-time teachers, including more than 20 professors, 20 PhD tutors, and 30 associate professors. More than half of its faculty have overseas experience at Oxford University of the United Kingdom, Max Planck Institute of Germany, Polytech Paris-Sud of France or other foreign universities and institutes. There are 85% of faculty who have an educational background at Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, China University of Political Science and Law, Wuhan University and other prestigious universities, and 93% have a PhD degree or are currently PhD candidates. Its faculty team includes two former members of the Steering Committee of the Law Discipline Teaching under the Ministry of Education, one Yangtze River Scholar' recognized by the Ministry of Education, three New Century Talents selected by the Ministry of Education, one National Leading Talent of "Ten- thousand Talent Plan" in Philosophy and Social Sciences, one listed cultural celebrity in Four Batches of Projects ( namely, a batch of skill-improving projects, a batch of construction projects, a batch of completion projects and a batch of technique transfer and technology import projects ) , one expert in National Millions of Talents Project (national level), one China's Youth Specialist of Outstanding Contribution, two recipients of special subsidy offered by the State Council, one jurist as one of the Top Ten Outstanding Youth Jurists, one nominee for the Top Ten Outstanding Jurists, seven jurists with honorary title of Hubei Province Top Ten Excellent Middle-age and Youth Jurists, one member of Hubei Province Youth Talent Development Program, five awardees of Central China Scholars of HUST and five secondary professors. In addition, HUST Law School has stacked up against its efforts to enhance the overall quality of its teaching staff. A significant number of middle-age and youth backbone teachers have matured academically with rich experiences of highly-relevant scientific researches and instructing practices, which has helped form an ideal faculty talent-pool.
